Rudi's dad's wake

We went to the wake last night. We found out that Rudi's dad was shot at Mindoro and he underwent exploratory laparotomy there. Because of severe bleeding, he suffered Acute Renal Failure and he was dialyzed as soon as possible. When the family returned to Manila, Rudi's father was confined at St. Luke's Medical Center and there, he was again opened up because of intractable bleeding to know where the actual site is which led to colectomy. After that operation, he was still bleeding, hypotensive, in short toxic. Several days, later he was reopened which led to many complications like sepsis and disseminated intravascular coagulation which required large numbers of packed RBCs and cryoprecipitate. Just last Sunday, he succumbed. May he rest in peace...
