FFF (Fainting at Fitness First)
| I went to the gym this morning for some back work-out. I was at the middle of my back extension when someone told me "may inatake" and saw a 33-year old lady lying on the floor with her lower extremities elevated. I rushed there immediately with the personal trainers. I asked for the BP, someone said 90/60. I reached for a stethoscope and auscultated her heart. I thought the rhythm was regular although not sure because of the very loud music. When she was able to talk, she narrated that she felt dizzy while doing the RPM (cycling class at FF) when she suddenly felt dizzy and blacked out. To cut the long story short, she felt better after rest. I just advised her to get an ECG. My diagnosis: Cardiac dysrhythmia vs. Exercise-induced hypotension. Tags: |
