Blow by Blow Account of the 39th Titan Induction Ball

It is stated in the Titan Constitution that the Induction Ball will be held on the last Saturday of March. Today is March 31, 2007, a Saturday, the day for the 39th Induction Ball. Last night, I decided to bring along my coat and long sleeves to the clinic in Laguna so I can go straight to Makati. By 1:30PM, I was finished with the clinic and went straight to Makati. Upon reaching Ayala, I opted to take a shower at Robinson's Summit because it was the nearest branch of Fitness First in the area. Feeling all refreshed, I went to Glorieta to have my haircut. I picked Bench Fix but unfortunately, it was all booked for the day. Feeling frustrated, I opted for the salon nearby. Good thing, the hairdresser did a good job. It was around 5:45PM when I finished, all-set for the ball.

I reached Dusit and went directly to the Ballroom B. Noone was there so I took this picture.

Cesar saw me and invited me to the room where everyone was preparing. Everything was going well until the problems pulled in one by one. Alex told me that he left the "The Prayer" video at home. Then, the Induction for the Grand Titan was not also on hand. So we decided to just let Neo do the opening prayer and utilize the Induction to be used in the Executive board. Another problem emerged when Grand RJ handed me the DVD. I tried to use it in Marvin's laptop but the CD could not be read. Darn! So the inductees had to shell 2 grand just to rent the hotel's DVD player (which is like buying a brand new player).

The food was great, actually great is an understatement. The appetizer was appetizing. The main course which include beef, port, chicken and crab dishes were sumptuous. The dessert was made of fruits and pastries.

This year's Induction Ball is a lot different than the other years' ball. From the brainchild of Don, he fixed on doing the ball MTV Awards style, organized in a top 10 countdown. The first song was entitled "Namimiss ko ang frat" composed by none other than Don Reyes. It is so good it is worthy of a recording. Hehehe. Grand Pipo delivered his outgoing speech which was quite ambivalent. The top 9 song aptly described "the year that was" which covered the happenings of the entire year. The Top 8, Kanlungan, paid tribute to the Silver Jubilarian that was represented by Kuya Henry. The pictures were really excellent. Top 7 song was Sandalan which was the batch song of Da Big 3 Code. Top 6 was the batch song of S.C.A.R.Y. Boyz 4, followed by "Wag kang bibitiw bigla" by Spongecola, representing PDA + Philam. Top 4 introduced batch Dalawang Baraha. Top 3 was Binibihi which introduced the Titan Sweethearts. Top 2 entitled Superhero suitably brought in the speech of the incoming Grand Titan, RJ. He talked about his plans for the year ahead. After his speech came the awarding ceremonies, which includes the Best Master award, Best Neophyte, MOST and MOBA. Like what I said in my previous post, I got 2/4 Best Master Awards. Those I expected but I didn't expect, even in my wildest dreams, that I'd get the MOBA award. MOST went to King.

And last but not the least, the top 1 song went to, expectedly, to the Titan Hymn. It sounded it was arranged professionally. Kudos!
