Liquor Ban in the Philippines

In preparation for the May 2007 Elections, liquor ban took effect since 11PM last night. The liquor ban will be in effect the day before and during election day so the Comelec urged all establishments, which are prohibited to sell intoxicating liquor, not to dispense, give or sell intoxicating liquors. A friend found it strange not to have liquor during Mother's day because of the elections. Anyways, Happy Mother's Day!
