Medicine Casualties
| Our medicine rotation has been tiring and routinary. Today, we are on a pre-duty status. We went to the hospital at 7AM and discharged at 12NN(remember, today is Saturday). Tomorrow will be our duty, we'll go at 6AM up to 6AM the next day. From 6AM to 7AM is our free time to bathe. 7AM to 5PM will be another hospital day (our status then is from-duty). The next day is again pre-duty. This will go on for 2 months for the medicine rotation and we haven't even crossed the halfway mark. For the record, 2 medical students already quit medicine and both of them are in the dean's list. If 1st to 3rd year medicine is a survival of the intellect, then clerkship is difinitely a survival of the fittest (physically that is). I hope there won't be any other casualties of medicine. |
