xiv. the station that dares to be different

“to bear on his back forever
the cruel strength of the crushing world
and the vault of the sky.
upon his shoulders the great pillar
that holds apart the earth and heaven,
a load not easy to be borne.”

- mythology, Hamilton

no one will return to help him avert
the dawning of brokenness
in his spirit: Forever is the curse
and the load it carries.

the Emptiness is the weight
too heavy to bear
upon his shoulders
already aching for release.

still he holds on to his fate
of carrying the sky, space and stars
although it is a bit lonely,
saving the world.
