Obstetrics, huwat?

Another month, another rotation. November is the month for labor and delivery, the exciting world of Obstetrics. I just finished 2 night duties at the OB-GYN complex and I'm so tired. You barely can sleep because of the multitude of mothers trying to deliver their babies. What's really tiring is that you monitor the mothers, in OB terms - LABOR WATCH. You hook the mother to a monitor and analyze the fetal heart tones in relation to the uterine contractions. One thing I just like is the pre-duty, because you just go on out patient department and finish by noon. Just for something to look forward to, I'll be leaving for Cabiao on the 16th and that means just 1 and 1/2 months of OB.
