It is advisable to study Lippincott to get a good grasp of the topics. Digging up the Bones is like Biochemistry in outline form. It contains all the must knows.
It is also advisable to read the Clinical Correlates portion of Devlin Biochemistry. They like asking rare diseases, an example of which is Zellweger disease (accumulation of long chain fatty acids in the brain). This was cited at Devlin, Mathews and Nelson’s Pediatrics.
Know all the processes that happen at the cytoplasm, nucleus, inner and outer mitochondrial membranes.
Know all the coenzymes, their precursors and derivatives.
Know the PEST sequence.
