On Banks and Volleyball
| Last Sunday, RJ invited me to watch the first game of the Women's Volleyball Finals. It was held at Ateneo gym. So, all the way from Las Pinas, I went to Baclaran, took the LRT-1 up to Doroteo Jose, connected to LRT-2 via Recto Station, got off to Katipunan and took a taxi to the Blue Eagle gym. When I arrived, the Men's Finals is ongoing. FEU won game 1. When the next game started, featuring the players of UST and FEU, you could almost say that UST would win. The tigresses were towering and two of the players play for RP National Team. So, naturally, the game ended with 3 sets to 1, in favor of UST. After the game, we were all tired and weak. Even a Chicken Bacolod meal didn't regain our energy (and to some extent our voices). This morning, I finally encashed my check from FortMed dated January 31,2007. It took so long because I'm impatient. Hahaha. I'm not patient to stay on line in other Equitable PCI branches because it will take eons to get cleared. Even depositing it would take epochs. So I decided to get it encashed at the branch that issued the check which is Equitable PCI Pacific Star, located at Buendia cor Makati. Everything was going smoothly until they asked for two valid ID's. I only have one - PRC license. I showed the teller my Alumni ID, my old school ID, even my gym ID I was tempted to give but I did not - sanity settled it. So she made me go to the bank officer and showed him my 3 IDs. To cut the long story short, I encashed the check. Labels: equitable pci, FEU, UST, volleball |
