Nestle Non Stop Cheering Competition
I was waiting for September 21 to come. Not because it's the 30th anniversary of the Martial Law, but because it's the Nestle Non-stop Cheering Competition. I was really excited to watch it live. But since I had to be back to UST by 4PM, I just opted to watch it on TV at home. UP performed first. I was nervous they might do well again just like what they did last year. After their performance, I told myself, they won't win first place. La Salle Pep Squad was just lousy, that's all I can say. Then the UST Salinggawi Dance came! I was able to tell because the crowd in yellow shirts and balloons started screaming. During their performance, I was in awe. They were really good, especially the skydiving routine and the exchange basket tosses (if that's what you call it). Then, the other squads performed. The notable ones were from Adamson, UE and FEU. When the 3rd place was announced, it was UP! hahaha... and they were startled. They were in the state of disbelief. The 3-time defending champion went down to 3rd place. After the commercial break, the second place was announced, it was UE. Then another commercial. I was crossing my fingers, I hope it's UST and it is!!! UST regained the crown!!! UST Tigers might have not made it to the Finals but we, Thomasians still have reason to celebrate. Congratulations UST SDT. Congratulations Yellow Jackets. Congratulations Thomasian Community! |
