Anemia Panel

Today, Dr. Rodelio Lim discussed the laboratory tests requested when one is suspecting of anemia. It was nice. He explained the laboratory test first then the clinical correlation including the process on how the disease brings about anemia including the not-so-common diseases like G6PD deficiency, PNH, and spherocytosis. It's really like a review of my med.tech subject and a review of clinical pathology that's why I didn't have a hard time understanding. In the afternoon, we did a complete blood count on the blood we extracted in the morning. Obviously, I had a normal count. Some of my classmates even saw some basophils and a lot of eosinophils. The med.tech. staff told us to find a journal for our journal report on Wednesday with Dr. Pascual. The reason why I am here at the LRU is to find one but I'm prioritizing this blog. =)
