“tell me who your friends are and i will tell you who you are…” what is in a name: if it signifies nothing, if it is nothing but a label that one can conveniently forget along with the groceries and the daily news? labeling is humanity’s kindness, the reason why everything has a name attached to it. philtrum, spigot, sadness, Homo erectus, butterfly, sex, love, heart evangelista, sigma beta tau phi. even he-who-created-all, supposedly the supreme, supposedly the unnameable, has a name: G… O… D… his infinite meaning cropped and crammed into three letters which could just as easily have read “dog” to the next dyslexic.
