FPJ is Dead!

It was Sunday when the king suddenly felt something different while he was having revelry with his friends. He was brought to the Emergency Room of St. Luke's Medical Center. Early that morning and being an intern at St. Lukes, a lot of friends and family texted me regarding the condition of FPJ. They said he was already in coma. Since it's my weekend off, I wasn't able to know. So the next day, I woke up early and came to St. Luke's early. Having rotated in Medicine, I know the access codes of the ICU's. I keyed in the access code and saw FPJ at bed 7 of Neuro ICU. I already saw his CT scan which showed infarcts which I previously thought of a bleed. During the day, FPJ had a lot of cardiac arrests and was successfully revived. I've heard he also suffered from disseminated intravascular coagulation and acute renal failure, proof that he is suffering from multi-organ dysfunction secondary to the brainstem infarct. At 12:01 AM of December 14, 2004, FPJ succumbed. FPJ is indeed a great loss. May he rest in peace.
