Gringo Honasan Captured

Former senator Gringo Honasan has been captured in Green Meadows subdivision in Quezon City at around 2AM. He has been in hiding after he was accused for allegedly planning a failed coup plot on February 24 against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo As of 6 p.m. Tuesday, police received reports that Honasan was sighted near his house at Industrial Valley in Marikina City. Police went to the house and trailed a maroon Toyota Revo that had just come out. After operatives positively identified Honasan, the arrest was ordered, he said. Honasan, 58, sustained a deep cut in his right foot and a sprain in his left foot after he tried to elude arrest by jumping off from the second floor of the townhouse reportedly owned by a certain Ingrid Ramos in Green Meadows, a GMA Network radio dzBB report said. Initially detained at the CIDG headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, he was later discreetly transferred to the PNP General Hospital where he was treated.
