Second Degree Burn

It was my first time to have a burn patient at FortMed. It caught me off hand. The patient was a 23-year old male who got burned his lower extremities from a gasoline tank explosion. The skin was erythematous, moist with blisters and bullae, and yeah, very painful. It actually covered 18% of the total body surface area. Since the patient is for admission, we just gave him sublingual NSAIDs and NSS irrigation. The tetanus toxoid, ATS and IV will be administered in the hospital.

After clinic though, I proceeded to the frathouse to teach the neobrods other songs for the forthcoming caroling. They're good. hehehe
