7th Annual Constantine Cu Medical Surgical and Dental mission

It has been two days since we arrived from Tigaon, Camarines Sur for the 7th Annual Constantine Cu Medical Surgical and Dental mission. It has been a very tiring yet enjoyable 3 days of work and fun. Being a "senior" among the student Titans, I was assigned to be in the adult medical consultation while the PBL Titans were assigned to the surgical part. It was the first time that I experienced talking and talking to patients non-stop! The only break we got was during snacks and lunch and sometimes I would go to the Pharmacy for a short chat. Anyway, in the adult medicine, the usual problems are hypertension, chest pain and cough. Good thing we're finished with the respiratory module. However, we're not yet through with the cardiology module, that's why I can't interpret the electrocardiography. Since, we were already finished with Pharmacology, at least I can prescribe drugs.

After all the days work, we were treated by the local brods there in Bicol for a night-out. We drank all night to our heart's content. And some even had to trigger the CTZ or the chemoreceptor trigger zone found in the area postrema of the medulla that they had to vomit. hahaha!

The other night was really a feast! We ate a lot that I felt the food in the distal esophageal sphincter (of course I'm exagerrating) Another good thing, we were given pasalubong!

I always have this feeling of accomplishment whenever I go to medical missions. That feeling that you were able to help the less fortunate brothers and sisters gives your that sense of fulfillment that will always make you come back and this time to Bicol!
