Website renovation

I'm trying to renovate my website, after seeing those websites I clicked on some of the links of the websites I visit. I want it to give a little touch of "flash." The problem is, I don't know how. And the worse thing is, I'm not really good at html. I only rely on the good 'ol tripod template. With my busy schedule as a third year medical student, probably, it would take me another year. I hope not.
