Halfway ENT

My 2 week-rotation in ENT is almost over. I really enjoyed the company of the residents and consultants. The atmosphere here is really conducive for learning. I always enjoyed the endorsement rounds wherein we discuss the cases. I really like it when I know the answers to the residents' questions.

I assisted to two operations this morning. The first one was the excision of a submandibular mass. It was quite big. The second one was the removal of a foreign body (chicken bone) inside the patient's cricopharyngeal area.

SLMC had its first convocation for the interns. We elected new officers for the batch and we talked about the Comprehensive Exam. It will starting on July 3, which is 2 Saturdays from now. Although it's non-bearing for externs, I should still study. It would serve as a gauge for the board exams, where I should concentrate on.
