Oathtaking

Just had our oathtaking this afternoon at the PICC. I wore a black shirt with black pants and black coat with a silver necktie. I hitched with JC coming to PICC. The ceremony was supposed to start at 1:30PM but it actually started at 2PM, very Filipino time, very predictable. It started with the parade of the topnotchers and the members of the Board of Medicine. A lot of speeches were delivered and a lot of oaths were recited (Oath of Physician, Oath of Membership for PMA and Hippocratic Oath). The event was highlighted when this year's topnotcher delivered his speech. He was from DLSU. It was okay, though I thought he sounded arrogant. PRC also awarded the top 3 performing schools namely: UP 97%, CIM 88% and UST 84%. The last part was the distribution of PRC licenses, grades and certificates. It was the most disorganized thing ever happened. Everyone was pushing everybody. Good thing some parents managed to organize it. Tags: oathtaking, medicine, thomasian, ust, picc, doctormagnus
