"Hold-up to!"
| Friday last week, I was on a jeepney going home. It was 10PM then and my companion already left the jeepney so I was left with the driver and one passenger at the backseat. Somebody sat beside me, paid his fare, got his change and said "Cellphone mo," and subsequently poked his knife at my right flank. There was nothing I could do that time but to give my phone. However, I had to courage to ask for my SIM card and fortunately, he gave it to me. It was also fortunate that he was only after my cellphone. He did not look into my bag which contains my digital camera and a lot of important stuff. Even my wallet was spared. He immediately left the jeepney leaving me shocked. The moral of the story? Never ride a jeepney with no passengers in it, maybe the driver is an accomplice. Next, never bring your valuables when you don't need to bring it. |
