Revalida Blues
| Just finished my revalida with Dr. Moreno. I've started my revalida last Monday. I got a patient with placenta previa totalis and so she got admitted automatically for a primary low transverse caesarian section. He asked me then to come to his clinic for the follow up revalida (theoreticals). However, because of his busy schedule, he made me go to him either on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. I went there Wednesday however, I got dumbfounded when he asked me about the operative findings which was very unexpected to be asked in an OB revalida (usually they are just outpatients). He then again made me come back the next day and so today, I didn't let anything pass. I studied the case very carefully and I studied for my theoreticals. When I went to the MAB, he just again asked for the operative findings.
"On opening, the lower uterine segment was well-formed. Proceeded to do primary LTCS, amniotic fluid was clear and adequate, delivered to a live baby boy BW 2.95kg BL 49cm AS 8.9,0 with a maturity testing of 41-42 weeks AGA. Placenta was located posteriorly and totally covering the os. Uterus was grossly normal and well contracted. Both fallopian tubes and ovaries were grossly normal." |
