When Medicine Meets Law

I'm now at the penultimate rotation of my clerkship - Medico-Legal Rotation. You rotate at the home base (UST) and at the PNP Crime Laboratory. At UST, you tend the referrals like physical injury, abortion and vehicular accident. We also had one autopsy here (which is the 13th for the whole year). It's really different how autopsy is conducted here in UST. If in crame, they use a knife, here they use a scalpel. And they're really meticulous.

In crame, you get to interact with other clerks from other schools like Fatima, St. Luke's and Perpetual. There is comparably more number of cases of rape, physical injury and others in Crame. You also get to examine prisoners to be transferred to other prisons.

All in all, this has been a great rotation for me. I also learned alot (I should because this is one subject in the board exams)
